Well its here again, who doesn't love halloween, I find its far more fun than christmas, creating wise anyway, your only limit is your imagination, and decency of course, i have to remember that the window is seen by loads of small people so nothing too bad. So here's a couple of images of this years window, as usual everything is reclaimed or repurposed. Bring on the trick o treaters. I also allowed Mick to do the pumpkins this year so the pic this year is his, as are other things in the window, its always fun combining ideas to go with each other

FISH FISH EVERYWHERE
I know, for a veggie i seem to be obsessed with fish but they are just soooo much fun to do, heres the beginings of another one that i did over the lovelly wet weekend, keep em peeled for the finished product. At the mo this is just the clay version and i am as we speak latexing it with many coats to form a mould to then reproduce it out of papier mache or anything else i may care to try.
Something a little different
Well heres the latest items to be leaving the hub of the Windswept Gallery, 100% cotton throws, hand apliqued and lovingly crafted. Ideal to keep in the van ready to pop over yourselves after that evening surf, whilst waiting for the fire to get going and the kettle to boil. Lovelly and soft to the touch and totally washable too, none of that dry clean only for us . They can be customised to match your van to order so if your interested either pop into the gallery or email me at allie@windsweptninteresting.fsnet.co.uk
I look forward to meeting you

More Birds
I keep doing these cos i just like them, and so do other people ( always handy when you run a gallery) so here are a few more
VWs
well here they are, these were created the same way as the fish from oil based clay first then a latex mould taken so they can be reproduced at will. They can be painted to match your own van, either real or of your dreams also i'm working on poping a clock in them too and maybe a picture frame version, the world is my lobster as they say. Your only limit is your imagination, i lke the thought of that , although all my imagination is being used up on beliving that this IS SUMMER . Anyway, hope you like them and its sunny where you are ( a friend in Whitstable assures me it 35 degrees and TOO HOT there ) See you again soon x

Damp weather not helping
Well as the title sudgests the damp weather is playing havoc with the drying times of my papier mache, regardless of the hours spent in the cooker it just isn't drying, so the lovelly VW camper clocks and wall plaques are still not ready . hopefully they will be dry enough in the next few days so that i can do the fun bit of painting them and watching them come to life, seeing if all the work, works . Untill then i have had to be happy with Driftwood, a few new cabinets have arrived in the gallery now and its always nice to work with a different medium, It reminds you how good it is when you base your art around the ethos of REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE. you always have something else you can go and play with when one thing just isn't working . Keep em peeled in the next couple of days when hopefully some pics of the finished VW's will appear, untill then, hope its brighter where you are .
